The title of this exhibition is drawn from one of the pomes published by Eli Gilad:

We sail far away
Carrying our desire with us
There is nothing here. Only a landscape .I call your name…

Showing photographed images overpaid with oil and acrylic paint Gilad has managed to collaborate the typographer/graphic designer in him with the painter. In his signature style he strives toward a pure painting based on the immediate impact of bold colors, brought into spontaneous harmony. The primary colors-yellow, blue and red are shaded or drawn into confrontation with a monochromatic background whose echoes burst forth here and there. The fine orchestration of colors in the extended space leaves no room for any serious question of figuration. The overall impression is one of freedom and play.
